Who is eligible for the Dental plan?
The Dental Plans are open to all AFGE Members who are in good standing. This includes Retirees.

Why doesn't my premium come out of my paycheck?
Premium collection is administered thru our TPA, Benefit Administrators Group. We do not have the ability to do payroll deduct. Premium collection is done monthly on the 5th of each month, regardless of your pay period.

How do I terminate my coverage?
You can terminate your coverage in writing via email to benefitadvisors@ken-mackenzie.com or fax 262.786.7200. Include your name, date of birth and Social Security Number. You can only terminate during your LOCALS' open enrollment season.

Can I terminate anytime?
No, you can only terminate during open enrollment which is once a year.

How do I know when my open enrollment is?

Why isn't my open enrollment the same as the government's open enrollment?
The Dental plan you are enrolled in thru your Union is not administered by the government, therefore, they operate independent of each other.

Can I be enrolled in both plans?
You can only be the Primary Insured on one plan. You can, however, coordinate plans with a spouse.
